METHODOLOGY · TRUST

Judgment is a path you can inspect.

Mīzān does not collapse a public claim into one score. It keeps source, context, evidence, conflict, inference and uncertainty separate so the reader can see what changed the judgment.

TRUST IS STRUCTURAL

What Mīzān knows — and where it must stop.

01

What Mīzān knows

It can use supplied material, page context, configured model knowledge and retrieved evidence when retrieval is actually available. These sources remain conceptually distinct.

02

What it cannot know

Missing evidence never becomes certainty. If verification is constrained or retrieval is unavailable, that limitation remains visible.

03

Conflicting evidence

Testimony, institutional claims, statistics, opinion and inference carry different evidence burdens. Disagreement should remain visible.

04

How AI is used

AI reasons inside a protected governance contract. Model background knowledge is not presented as retrieved evidence.

05

Sources & provenance

A linked source is not automatically proof. Mīzān keeps visible which claim a source supports, how directly, and what remains unverified.

06

Challenge the analysis

Open deeper reasoning, compare another interpretation and bring better evidence. Methodological clarity matters more than rhetorical certainty.
